What this site collects, which is very little, and what happens to it.
Radon Atlas is operated by OutreachVoice, a trade name of 1236326 Alberta Ltd., 325-918 16th Avenue NW, Calgary, AB T2M 0K3. Questions about anything on this page go through the contact form.
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Google information about your visit, including your approximate location from your IP address, the pages you look at, and general details about your device and browser. We use it to understand what is worth writing more of. We do not use it to identify you, and we have no interest in doing so.
You can block it with any ad or tracker blocker, or with Google's own opt-out add-on, and the site works exactly the same without it.
The maps load tiles from OpenStreetMap, which means your browser requests images from their servers and they will see your IP address as part of that, as with any image loaded from another site.
If you are a radon company and you fill in the listing form, we keep what you send: your company name, contact details, and your answers about your services. We use it to build your page on this site, and to contact you about that listing. We do not sell it, rent it, or pass it to anyone else. If you want it removed, say so and it is deleted.
If you tick the logo and images box on that form, you are telling us we may copy your company logo, and usually one photograph, from your own website and use them on your page here, with a link back to you. We do that so you do not have to find and send us files. We only take images from the website you gave us, we do not take anything from anywhere else, and if you later want them removed we will remove them.
We keep the email, because that is what an inbox is. We use it to answer you and to follow up. We do not add you to any list.
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email and we will do it. In Canada this is your right under PIPEDA and we are not going to make you cite it.
